Felony Suspect Arrested for Assault at Pasco Muffler Shop Get our free mobile app 34-year old Jose Manuel Flores-Ramirez was taken into custody at Bonnie and Clyde s Muffler Shop on West Columbia Street. The victim was struck twice in the ribs with a bat-sized steel pipe. The confrontation reportedly began after Flores-Ramirez perceived a statement from the victim as a slur in reference to the suspect s mother. After the assault, the victim was transported to a local emergency room for treatment of his injuries. The suspect was then booked into the Franklin County Jail on an investigative hold for Assault. ....
Marion County Sheriff s Office detectives said one of their first cases was an attempted catalytic converter theft in January 2020. The next incident was in May. As the months went by, deputies started to record more and more catalytic converter thefts. According to Sheriff s Office officials, last year the agency registered 272 catalytic converter thefts. As of April, it already had registered 118 this year. The problem isn t just in Marion County. It s nationwide. According to a March news release from the National Insurance Crime Bureau, there were, on average,108 catalytic converter thefts per month in 2018. That increased to 282 in 2019 and 1,203 in 2020. Sgt. Dave Rasnick, an MCSO property crimes supervisor, said 90 percent of the catalytic converter thefts here occur in the southern end of the county. That means from Southeast 80th Street down to the Sumter County line. ....
IMPD Arrests Man For Muffler Shop Shooting INDIANAPOLIS Indianapolis police have arrested a man for shooting another man last week at Ralph’s Muffler Shop on Keystone Avenue. IMPD says James Norwood got into a fight with Charles Potter and shot him on May 4. Police believe the fight happened inside the shop. On May 7, police arrested Norwood. He’s accused of aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and possession of a firearm without a license. The Marion County Prosecutors Office is reviewing the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana. ....
