So let’s catch you up on where they’re at and what’s next.
They have interviewed seven candidates, with another to come Monday Saints defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn. (The full rundown is below.) The Jets have nine known candidates, since Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell doesn’t want to pursue the job.
Keep it right here Monday for all the live updates, news, and rumors about this search, as acting owner Christopher Johnson (wisely) gets out of the way and lets general manager Joe Douglas do his job leading the search.

PHILADELPHIA The Eagles began the 21-day practice windows for right guard Brandon Brooks and linebacker Davion Taylor, the team announced Wednesday.
Brooks, the three-time Pro Bowl right guard who tore his Achilles in June, is unlikely to return for the season finale against the Washington Football Team on Sunday night. Instead, the designation allows him to continue his rehab and participate in individual drills.

Quarterbacks (out of 73 offensive snaps): Jalen Hurts (73), Carson Wentz (DNP), Nate Sudfeld (inactive).
Analysis: Hurts threw for 342 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 69 more yards, but he threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter and lost a fumble down the stretch, too. For the first time in his run as the starting quarterback, he seemed to be pressing. Still, he got the offense off to a quick start that the team couldn’t hang on to.

The Philadelphia Eagles were eliminated from playoff contention with an ugly 37-17 loss at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, and it marks just the second time in coach Doug Pederson’s five-year tenure and the first time since his first year in 2016 that the team will not make the postseason.
It’s been a bad season for the 4-10-1 Eagles. They were the first time eliminated from contention in the NFC East, easily the NFL’s worst division in 2020. Things were supposed to be set up for them to make another playoff run, but the results have not been good.
