OPSU Receives Certified Healthy Oklahoma Award of Excellence Second Year in a Row

Oklahoma Panhandle State University received the Excellence Award for being a Certified Healthy Campus for the second year in a row. Panhandle State will be recognized virtually at the annual Certified Healthy Oklahoma event on June 24th.
The Panhandle State Wellness Committee members are Dana Collins, Amber Hollis-Fesmire, Calandra Rose, Stacy Norquist, and Rene Ramon. This group is committed to providing services and activities for students, employees, and area communities geared toward campus well-being.
University President, Dr. Tim Faltyn stated, “The Wellness Committee continues to promote new and exciting ways for us all to stay healthy. Thank you to this group of individuals who have helped us achieve this excellent status.” ....

News - Staff Spotlight: Calandra Rose

Calandra Rose
A Springfield, Colorado native, Calandra Rose has worked for Panhandle State for over ten years. She spent most of her time at OPSU working as the Administrative Assistant to the Fiscal Affairs Office and the Comptroller. She stated, “I wore a lot of different hats while in that office.”
In June of 2020, Calandra accepted a new position as the Administrative Assistant to the President. She never thought this new position would be possible for her to achieve, but she has loved every minute of it.
“Dr. Faltyn has taught me a lot about myself in the little time I have worked as his Assistant. I want to thank him for believing in me.” ....
