8 free agents Giants could still target after NFL Draft, including Trai Turner

8 free agents Giants could still target after NFL Draft, including Trai Turner Posted May 09, 2021 Former Carolina Panthers offensive guard Trai Turner is still available in free agency. (Rick Scuteri, Associated Press) Facebook Share The Giants just added six players to their roster through the NFL Draft, and all told that’ll cost them around $3 million in cap space. So that should leave the team with about $2 million in space to spare. That’s not a whole lot, especially since it’s important to go into the season with some room in the event of injuries to key players. They can still create more space through restructures, cuts or trades, which they’d likely need to do if they wind up adding anymore free agents between now and the start of training camp.

5 Giants thoughts after NFL Draft: Dave Gettleman’s growth, players in danger of getting cut, more Updated 11:51 AM; Facebook Share The NFL Draft is over, and so the two major offseason events that and free agency have come and gone, and the Giants roster looks wildly different. This, clearly, is a team dead-set on getting over the hump, improving on their 6-10 record and making it back to the playoffs for the second time in a decade. There are still some major question marks, certainly, starting with Daniel Jones and the offensive line. Sign up for Giants Extra: Giants fans will probably take that. It beats the alternative.

2021 Mock Offseason remix edition

2021 Mock Offseason remix edition By zkmasrhall24 on Jan 13, 2021, 3:23pm EST + Before I start with the remix edition to the mock offseason, I would like to clarify that I am not trying to present what I would do if I was running the team mock, but rather just a potential scenario. By doing so it allows me the freedom to present different FA and draft additions than just regurgitate the guys that I am personally hoping for/commonly seen in mock drafts. The Giants currently have a 3 year window to be spenders, and any contracts that are signed should be done like the FA last year in which they are shorter deals, or have easy out for the latter years in longer deals. May sound funny to say they have a window now to be spenders when they have very little money currently in CAP space (barring a miracle and the owners putting a pause on the cap due to Covid-19 instead outright slashing the CAP space some 25 million per team). Their reason for being spenders is due to the

Mock Offseason

Mock Offseason CAP is currently at $9,806,150 which I am going to round down to 9.75 million for convenience. 40 Million available Re-sign: DE/DT Leonard Williams: 5 years/ 85 million (30 million guaranteed) [9, 20, 25, 16, 15] My first initial drafts of this offseason had Williams walking, but should Williams want to return now that Graham is returning (the players on defense seem to love him) and Kevin Abrams can work his magic with the contracts to get both Williams and Tomlinson signed back then I think DG, Joe Judge and Patrick Graham would welcome Leonard back with open arms. The overall number is high, but the guaranteed part is super low. Williams has to bet on himself with this contract, but despite a double digit sack year I am not sure Williams is heading for a massive guarantee on his contract. Many teams will still be hesistant given his inconsistency with sacks year to year. The one team I fear in re-signing Williams is the Patriots where they have significant C
