Political outsider and businessman Pete Snyder, one of the frontrunners in the Republican primary contest, has earned endorsements from a variety of conservative leaders on the state and national level. In the final days of the primary, Snyder also received support from a “conservative icon,” who worked in President Ronald Reagan’s administration. Former Secretary of Education Bill Bennett took note of Snyder’s work to advocate for liberating schools from COVID closures and against detrimental Critical Race Theory in education. ....

For anyone who s recently graduated or follows the troubling stories coming out of America s institutions of higher learning, it s clear that more money isn t the solution. The cost to attend college and the resulting student loan debt continue to skyrocket despite years of funding increases and federal help that can t save students with unmarketable degrees. ....
School choice is no silver bullet content and character matter, too Ryan Hooper The other day, the Wall Street Journal editorial board wrote a column titled School Choice: Better Than Prozac. While they are correct in this assessment, what they and those on the political Right really need to talk about is how content and character are more important than school choice, for mental health and for students overall. I am a public school teacher who loves and supports school choice. I have benefited personally from attending my urban Catholic high school. Charter schools and voucher programs have been incredible tools for upward mobility in providing educational opportunities for low-income students. ....

Conversely, President Trump greatly embellished my view of his character through his hard work and dedication in making this country far better than when he was elected. As a billionaire playboy with some prior actions reflecting dubiously on his character, my early expectations were quite low. ....
