24 December 2020 | Religion The President of the Republic, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan met the Most Reverend Doctor Archbishop of the Indian Ocean province James Wong, the Dean of the St Paul’s Cathedral Reverend Doctor Daniel Kalle and Reverend Doctor Simon Fred of the St Matthew, Praslin parish at State House today. Also present was the Vice-President, Mr Ahmed Afif. The three Anglican clergy members made history for Seychelles and the Anglican Diocese for receiving their doctorate in ministry from the ACTS Academy of Higher Learning in Bangalore, India. President Ramkalawan formally congratulated them on their success and expressed how they have made Seychelles and the Anglican Diocese proud. ....

Archbishop of the Indian Ocean province James Wong, Dean of the St Paul’s Cathedral Reverend Daniel Kalle and Reverend Simon Fred of the St Matthew, Praslin parish officially graduated in a virtual ceremony held on Saturday at St Paul’s Cathedral. All three undertook the four-year doctorate course along with several other priests in the Indian Ocean region, most notably from Mauritius and Madagascar, to become Doctors of Ministry. ....
