Hundreds of thousands of California businesses could soon be receiving state funding.Those heavily impacted small business owners will be able to apply for a sixth round of the Cal Relief Grants possibly benefitting and keeping businesses like Los Vaqueros in South Sacramento open.The sixth round comes at a time when businesses continue to struggle to make ends meet. In the Sacramento area, at least 40% of Black-owned businesses have been permanently closed due to COVID-19. This grant could be the lifesaver for some of these businesses, said Lina Doyle, director of operations at Sacramento s Black Small Business Association.Lendistry is the state s intermediary, and they re working with 60 organizations to carefully choose the most impacted businesses. It s hard to determine who has the most need, especially during COVID environment, as the pandemic has gone on, the distress has been deeper, said Lendistry CEO Everett Sands.Those interested in the grant can apply through a
