Hundreds of thousands of California businesses could soon be receiving state funding.Those heavily impacted small business owners will be able to apply for a sixth round of the Cal Relief Grants possibly benefitting and keeping businesses like Los Vaqueros in South Sacramento open.The sixth round comes at a time when businesses continue to struggle to make ends meet. In the Sacramento area, at least 40% of Black-owned businesses have been permanently closed due to COVID-19. This grant could be the lifesaver for some of these businesses, said Lina Doyle, director of operations at Sacramento s Black Small Business Association.Lendistry is the state s intermediary, and they re working with 60 organizations to carefully choose the most impacted businesses.
