UP to export 20 tonnes of Kala Namak Rice to Singapore by March end Lucknow, Feb 23 (UNI) In what appears to be a major boost to farm exports from Uttar Pradesh, the state is set to send a consignment of 20 tonnes of Buddha Rice, popularly known as Kala Namak Rice, one of the finest varieties of aromatic rice in India, to Singapore soon. The consignment will be sent to Singapore from Siddharth Nagar by the end of March this year. Additional Chief Secretary, MSME and Export Promotion, Navneet Sehgal said here on Tuesday that the rice is being packaged in attractive glass jars with all its qualities clearly mentioned on it. One can read the qualities by simply scanning the bar code. ....

KARACHI: The lull period is finally over, it seems, when it comes to fashion weeks for following hot on the heels of the three-day Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week, held earlier this month in Lahore, is the two-day Secret Garden Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer ‘21, albeit a much smaller, toned-down outdoor affair hosting 13 designers and fashion labels, and being held at an expansive, privately-owned lawn facility. The designers who showed on Day One of FPW were Umsha by Uzma Babar, Mubashara Najam, Diners, Sadaf Malaterre, Aleena Farina, Tabassum Mughal and jewellery designer Sundas Talpur. ....

Hidden deep within the alleys of Karachi’s Old Clifton area, the Spring/Summer 2021 edition of Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) was an exclusive affair. The crowd was limited and the show took place out in the open in an effort to diminish the risk of infection from the coronavirus. It was, perhaps, the most small-scale FPW that I had ever attended and I have attended many! Fashion Pakistan Council Chairperson Maheen Khan had asserted that in an effort to contain the crowd, she would only be inviting pertinent people the media, key council members and designers that were showcasing thereby eschewing sponsors and their families, designers who were not participating, and random socialites with a penchant for attending fashion shows. ....
Russia registers 18 ceasefire violations in Syria over past day ANI | Updated: Feb 19, 2021 18:29 IST Moscow [Russia], February 19 (ANI/Sputnik): The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian truce has registered 18 ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has registered nine truce breaches, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday. The Russian part of the representative office of the joint Russian-Turkish Commission for consideration of issues related to violations of the cessation of hostilities recorded 18 facts of opening fire (15 of them according to the Syrian side) in the provinces: Idlib-7, Latakia-5, Hama-5, Aleppo-1. The Turkish part of the representation stated 9 facts of opening fire (the Russian part of the representation confirmed - 0), the ministry said in its daily bulletin. ....
