The suspicious items that prompted a shelter-in-place order for the area around the Pearl Street Mall have been checked and are not a threat, Boulder Police said.  Police have cleared the scene and have reopened the area to vehicles and pedestrians.  At 10:30 a.m. the Records Department within Boulder Police received a phone call from a person who said multiple explosive devices with a remote-controlled ignition were placed near 13th and Pearl streets. People in the vicinity of downtown Boulder were told to shelter-in-place and to go indoors.
