Amazon s Bellevue love affair: Seattle s neighborhood bookseller/tech overlord just bought some new office space in Bellevue. Amazon called dibs on the new 25-story Artise tower across the water. In the wake of a recent state Supreme Court ruling throwing out the state s felony drug possession law, proponents of a drug decriminalization bill, HB 1499, are now saying that decision is an opportunity to shift drug policy paradigms and are emphasizing the bill s drug treatment provisions. Washington state clean fuel standard bill passes House, heads to Senate : Biofuels Digest


News came in late Friday from Washington state that the state House passed Bill1091 – a statewide clean fuel standard bill – and now is headed to the state Senate for voting. It passed the House with a vote of 52-46 and is the third year the House chamber has voted in support of the policy. The bill would adopt a rule establishing a Clean Fuels Program that would limit greenhouse gas emissions per unit of transportation fuel energy to 10 percent below 2017 levels by 2028 and 20 percent below 2017 levels by 2035.
