Employees who participated in 15 days strike in April will get only half month salary
The State government has released funds to pay the salaries of employees of the Road Transport Corporations (RTCs), but with many riders.
The government has released a total of ₹325 crore to pay salaries for April and May. The order issued on Monday states that ₹81.25 crore has been released for April and ₹243.75 crore for May.

Mangaluru, Apr 23: Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar today led a team of police to force a few establishments including jewellery shops in the city to roll their shutters dwon in accordance with the fresh covid guidelines issued by the Karnataka government.
The revised guidelines from Chief Secretary P Ravikumar has ordered the closure of shops, commercial and private establishments other than those dealing with essential services.
As a part of crackdown on the traders and force the shutting of shops other than that of essential services, City Police Commissioner carried out a drive in Clock Tower, Hampankatta, Ambedkar Circle, Falnir and Kankanady areas on Friday.

New Delhi, Apr 22: India has reported a record 3,14,835 new Covid-19 cases, continuing the steady rise in fresh infections for the 43rd consecutive day, with record 2,104 deaths, according to data by the Health Ministry.
This is the biggest daily spike recorded in the world. Previously, United States had seen the highest single-day rise in Covid cases (3 million).
This pushes the country s total case count to 1,59,30,965, with total 1,34,54,880 recoveries. The death toll is at 1,84,657 and active cases stand at 22,91,428.
Total number of those vaccinated under the government s inoculation program is 13,23,30,644.

Bengaluru, April 21 : Following the Karnataka High Court s direction, the Karnataka State Road Transport Employees League (KSRTEL) called off its indefinite strike and decided to resume operations from Wednesday night itself, its Honorary President, Kodihalli Chandrashekar said here.
Chandrashekhar told reporters that the KSRTEL had called off its 15-day long strike that affected tge statewide public transport system and had hit the lakhs of commuters for nearly a fortnight.
