“It is amazing,’’ he said. “It was pretty surreal because I have grown up playing gigs. I have always been a musician since I was 13 or 14. “We have played a lot of gigs and travelled long distances to play to three people. And then sometimes we have had amazing, packed-out gigs.” He discovered they had been signed in an email and quickly called his bandmates, guitarist Sam Kubiak, bassist Doug Stewart, and drummer Kurt Fleming.

Pieces of Molly are inspired by Led Zeppelin, Motorhead and The Datsuns. “That was in February. It has been the worst thing ever to not say anything to anyone about it.’’
The 37-year-old last played for the Gold Coast Titans and has represented Queensland and Australia.
