Lloyd ‘Gunny’ Dashner Dec. 28, 1942 Dec. 22, 2020 GySgt Ret. USMC, Lloyd Franklin Dashner, a resident of Suisun City for 37 years, unexpectedly passed away on Dec 22, 2020. Lloyd was born in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, on Dec 28, 1942, to Lloyd Everett Dashner and Kathryn Lucy Passineau Dashner while his father was stationed there in the Army. While Lloyd was a toddler, the family returned to Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, their hometown, where Lloyd grew up. As a child, Lloyd made money by collecting newspapers, picking crops, selling greeting cards and working on a farm. After Lloyd turned 17 on Dec 28, 1959, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and left Wisconsin in January 1960. ....
