A special “Big Ideas Night” is themed “Job Search,” with a panel of expert authors tackling such topics as resume-writing, interviewing and negotiating at a virtual event hosted by Random House via Zoom on Tuesday, April 13 at 8:00 pm (ET).

Three previous presidents of the La Junta Chamber of Commerce who passed away this year were honored at the Jan. 25 annual chamber banquet. They were William Glenn Parker, Ardith Sneath and Kirk Snyder.
Past commerce presidents, local public figures and family friends appeared in a prerecorded video by SECO News’ Adrian Hart that played during the ceremony.

William Glenn Parker
Linda Kroschel, the head elf of the annual Jay’s Community Christmas Dinner, said she knew Parker for more than13 years. They both started volunteering for the Christmas dinner in 2007.
