Plain Local approves strategic plan focused on the whole family PLAIN TWP. The Plain Local School District is looking toward its future beyond COVID-19. The school board on Wednesday unanimously approved the district’s 2020-24 strategic plan that will serve as a compass for the district of roughly 6,000 students and 600 employees. “I know we’re in a difficult time, but we will come out of this and when we come out of it, we have to be better than when we went into it,” Superintendent Brent May said. “… We can’t stop moving forward.” The plan includes seven goals and associated objectives that touch every aspect of the district including academics, facilities, employee recruitment and development, finances, culture and community relationships. ....
