Evelyn’s mother, Missy, and her great-grandmother, Carol Carpenter, are Orrville American Legion Auxiliary members. Evelyn is a student at Orrville Elementary School. She presented Orrville s Mayor Dave Handwerk with poppies for the 2021 Memorial Day holiday. She will pass out poppies at the Memorial Day ceremony May 31 at Crown Hill Cemetery. She also will help distribute poppies at Buehler s in Orrville this month. The auxiliary and members of Post 282, District 10, volunteered to distribute and take donations for poppies starting in May. The poppies and donation cans will be at the following businesses throughout Orrville: Mrs J’s, Dravenstott’s, Michael’s Bakery, The Orrville VFW, Orrville American Legion, Dairy Queen and Treasures & Time. ....
