Lawsuit settled between CaroMont Health and departing doctors

A lawsuit filed by seven doctors who left CaroMont Health s South Point Family Practice to form a new medical practice under the Charlotte-based Tryon Medical Partners umbrella has been voluntarily dismissed.
The doctors had taken the legal action against CaroMont Health in September of 2019 because their former employer wanted them to pay $1.8 million to be freed from a non compete clause in their contracts.
A check of public records at the Gaston County Clerk s Office showed the suit had been dismissed but gave no details of the settlement between the litigants. Neither did statements released by the parties involved.
A statement from CaroMont Health said simply, CaroMont Medical Group and seven physicians formerly in practice at South Point Family Practice (have) reached a confidential settlement agreement resolving a dispute over non compete provisions included in the physicians employment contracts. ....

The Lubeck Acres Garden Club met April 15 at the Lubeck Bank of Williamstown conference room.
Members in attendance were Judi White, Carolyn Stephens, Linda Seabolt, Keith Cutright, Dina Braniff, Beth Drake, Lynn Greenly, Mike Armstrong and Lynn VanFosson.
Elections were held and White will continue as president, Luwana Rhodes will be program chair, Armstrong will be Treasurer, VanFosson will be secretary and Braniff will serve as Conservation Club chair.
White brought a horticulture specimen, garlic mustard, which has a white bloom this time of year. It probably has the best taste when it has grown in the shade in the woods. She was going to saute it for dinner that evening. ....

Charlotte-Area Doctors Reach Settlement In Lawsuit Against CaroMont

A group of Charlotte-area doctors has reached a settlement in its lawsuit against CaroMont Medical Group, which runs the primary health system in Gaston County.
CaroMont, Tryon Medical Partners, Gaston Medical Partners and six doctors finalized the agreement on Wednesday. A CaroMont spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday that the settlement allows the doctors to join Tryon Medical Partners, though further details of the settlement were not made available.
In September 2019, seven doctors employed by CaroMont Health sued the health system, arguing that CaroMont was unfairly blocking the doctors from joining Tryon Medical Partners, Business North Carolina ....

Master Gardeners do more than grow gardens; they grow gardeners. They also grow produce for local food pantries, recruiting and training volunteers to help feed the community and themselves.
The Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association, which has been active in the area since 1998, plants and maintains two food pantry gardens: The Garden Powered by Highland Lakes Master Gardeners at Trinity Episcopal Church in Marble Falls and The King’s Garden in Kingsland.
