The Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council (Mid-States MSDC) recognizes 39 Central Indiana corporations (see attached image) that spent more than $650 Million with Black-owned businesses in 2020.
“Last year, in response to Black Lives Matter, numerous corporations issued statements in support of the Black community, but sadly, many of them have not committed to purchasing from Black businesses or have established goals to spend dollars with diverse suppliers,” said Carolyn Mosby, President/CEO of the Mid-States MSDC. “We wanted to acknowledge those companies that are purchasing from Black businesses, creating jobs and impacting the overall economic development and empowerment of communities of color in Central Indi ....
