Myanmar’s military has conducted a search of Catholic and other Christian churches in the Buddhist-majority country.
At least four Catholic churches in villages in Pathein Diocese in Irrawaddy division were searched by police and soldiers looking for alleged illegal activities or anti-coup activists on April 8 evening.
Security personnel holding guns searched inside one Catholic church and checked around the cemetery, according to church sources.

I should get this out of the way before I share what I m gonna share. I have lots of friends named Karen and they re very nice people. However, there are certain high-maintenance folks that have been given that moniker. The good news is that Wyoming has fewer of them than just about any other part of America.
If you re not familiar with the Karen type of person this article is referring to, I ll defer to the Wikipedia definition.
Karen is a pejorative term for a woman seeming to be entitled or demanding beyond the scope of what is normal. The term also refers to memes depicting white women who use their privilege to demand their own way.

The decision this week by Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas to end his state s mask mandate and lift all restrictions on business reflects a broader move by politically ambitious Republican governors to channel the rising anger of conservative constituents over government efforts to curb the coronavirus.
Meghan McCain would like to talk to the manager of the coronavirus vaccine rollout because she, an able-bodied wealthy white woman, cannot find out where to get a vaccine. Never mind that the supply is limited, we’re facing massive slowdowns because of weather crises, or the fact that the vaccine should be getting to the elderly, medically vulnerable, and front-line workers first. Oh, no, Miss McCain wants it now and anyone who’s keeping her from that needs to be fired.
This is a brief summation of McCain’s latest privileged polemic on today’s episode of The View. McCain’s rant came after playing a clip of Dr, Anthony Fauci, who McCain I guess wants to personally call her to make a vaccine appointment because she’s tired of being responsible. She’s personally offended by “the fact that Dr. Fauci is going on CNN and he can’t tell me that if I get the vaccine, if I’ll be able to have dinner with my family.”
