$1.6B effort to cut energy bills in NJ | NJ Spotlight News

Credit: (Jill Rose from Pixabay) Officials say utility customers who heed the call to conserve power stand to pay less. The state’s gas and electric utilities are collectively gearing up to spend at least $1.6 billion over the next three years to spur customers to reduce energy use, an investment aimed at driving down the cost of utility bills. The investments were spurred largely by the 2018 Clean Energy Act, a wide-ranging law that sought to lay out what needs to be done to achieve the goal of the administration of Gov. Phil Murphy for 100% clean energy in New Jersey by mid-century.

All the collected blankets were delivered to Rosewood and Judy Krebaum reported how grateful the couple was when she gave them the donation from the chapter. Jeri Brozek reported with everything happening it might be better to postpone the trip to Pawhuska until later in the spring or early summer. Jump-Starting Electric Vehicle Charging in New Jersey

PSE&G is helping to put New Jersey on the road to clean-running electric vehicles. The state’s largest utility received approval from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities to invest $166 million in electric vehicle charging over an expected six years. The investments are designed to accelerate the growth of EV charging infrastructure, encourage more drivers to switch to EVs, improve air quality and reduce health care costs. “Electrifying transportation is an important component of PSEG’s Powering Progress vision for a future in which we help our customers use less energy, ensure that the energy they use is cleaner, and that energy is delivered more reliably than ever,” said Karen Reif, vice president of PSE&G’s Renewables and Energy Solutions group.
