Blackburn Community Association starts unique fundraiser to stay afloat SHARE ON: Blackburn Community Centre (Photo by Blackburn Community Association Facebook) The Blackburn Community Centre is having trouble staying afloat during the pandemic and is getting closer to closing its doors for good. Typically the centre hosts fitness programming like Zumba, Aerobics and Floor Hockey games but due to provincial health protocols, they haven’t been able to do it nearly as often. Additionally, normally the centre hosts weddings every weekend from April through September as well, which brings in about $2,000 per weekend but most have been postponed for the same reason. ....
