Jordan Price TWO HARBORS– The Timberwolves showed Two Harbors they’ve come a long way this season as they downed the Agates here on Tuesday, 42-33. Ely had lost their first game of the season to Two Harbors, so they were eager to even the score. “The game was a little sloppy, but a big run in the second half that was sparked by our defense put the game out of reach,” said Ely Head Coach Max Gantt. “It wasn’t our prettiest win, but it was a win we needed and earned. Sometimes you have to just find a way, and we did that.” ....
Jordan Price ELY- Ely bounced back from Monday night’s loss against Chisholm to beat Cook County at home, 52-45. Solid defense and hitting key shots down the stretch were crucial in the biggest win of the season for the Timberwolves. “Everyone did what they do well, contributing to us getting a big win on our home floor,” said Head Coach Max Gantt. Grace Latourell led the Wolves with 22 points while Sarah Visser added 15. Both hit clutch free throws down the stretch. Ely also limited their turnovers in the second-half, which made the difference. “We are really improving this season. We played nine girls, so this is a true team win,” said Gantt. ....

The Rangers forced Ely into 34 turnovers on the night in a highly physical contest. “We hope to be able to play like that as we progress and get better,” said Head Coach Max Gantt.
