Prof Mateen-ur-Rehman's book launched at KU

Karachi University on Thursday launched the second edition of a book titled ‘Mein Ne Pakistan Bante Dekha’, which is based on the childhood memories of the migration of Prof Syed Mateen-ur-Rehman Murtaza.
The late Murtaza was a well-known journalist and former chairman of the University of Karachi’s department of mass communications. In his book, Prof Murtaza has shared his childhood memories of migration and mentioned the experiences after separating from the family along with his younger brother.
The speakers at the book launch informed the audience that the book contains the hardships experienced by Prof Murtaza and how and why he fell in love with Pakistan. Karachi University on Monday announced the results of the MBBS and BDS 1st Year Professional Annual Examinations 2021, with female students bagging top positions.
According to the results, Areeba Farid of the Karachi Medical and Dental College with 447 marks bagged the first position in MBBS professional examinations, M Taha Kabir stood second with 444 marks, and Zaira Khalid secured the third position with 441 marks.
As many as 253 students sat the exams, 250 of them were declared successful, and three failed. The success rate was 98.81 per cent.
In the BDS exams, Umm Hani of the KMDC with 598 marks secured the first position, Maleeha Nasir scored 592 marks for the second position, and Mustabshara Ahmed with 580 marks achieved the third position. ....
