New South Wales has recorded 112 new coronavirus infections - the state s highest daily amount this year - after Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she anticipated local cases to crack 100 in a day.
Ms Berejiklian said most of the fresh cases are family members of positive cases or close contacts, while 48 infections remain under investigation. I want to stress again, as we did yesterday, if you put yourself at risk, you re putting your entire family, and that means extended family, as well as your closest friends and associates, at risk, she said.
