National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory in PA

Shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday the National Weather Service issued Winter Weather Advisories for two Susquehanna Valley cities and several counties. The advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The following cities are under the advisory that can expect high snowfall accumulations: York. Lancaster.The following counties are also included under the advisory:Adams.Cumberland.Franklin.Fulton.Dauphin.Lancaster.Lebanon.Schuylkill.York.The NWS expects three to five inches with the highest totals near the Maryland border near Adams, York and Lancaster Counties. They advise drivers to plan for slippery roads and heavy snowfall rates exceeding one inch per hour on Sunday morning. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission reminds motorists to adjust their speeds on snow-covered roads and when there is limited visibility. People arriving in the Northern Territory from the New South Wales Local Government Areas listed will no longer have to undertake mandatory supervised quarantine. Anyone currently in mandatory quarantine from these areas will be able to exit.
There has been no COVID-19 cases reported across Sydney’s western suburbs in the past 14 days. Significant testing has been undertaken across Greater Sydney and a number of public health controls remain in place such as limited numbers at events and gatherings and wearing masks when in some public areas. These factors, combined with negative waste water testing results, have worked to prevent any spread of COVID-19 and have reduced the risk to the Northern Territory. ....

ACT lifts all COVID-19 travel restrictions for Sydney with removal of Cumberland LGA as a hotspot

While announcing the lifted restrictions, ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman thanked the strong and vigilant community that has come together .

The ACT Government has lifted all travel restrictions between Canberra and Sydney.
As of 3:00pm Friday, the Cumberland Local Government Area (LGA) is no longer considered a COVID-19 hotspot.
Anyone currently in quarantine in the ACT who has visited the Cumberland LGA is no longer be required to quarantine.
ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman acknowledged the restrictions over the past six weeks have been difficult, and thanked the strong and vigilant community that has come together . ....

More Green Zones For NSW And Final Red Zone Turns Orange

Following continued low community transmission and exposure risk, from 6:00pm tonight the last red zone in New South Wales will now transition to an orange zone, allowing anyone from New South Wales with a permit to enter Victoria.
From 6:00pm (Victorian EADT) tonight the Local Government Area (LGA) of Cumberland will transition to an orange zone and all remaining orange zones will transition to green.
This means the Greater Sydney LGAs of Blacktown City, Burwood, Canada Bay City, Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield City, Inner West, Parramatta City and Strathfield Municipality and Liverpool will move from orange to green.
Wollongong and the Blue Mountains will also move to green, leaving Cumberland as the only remaining orange zone. ....
