Leah Golob The new head of Women in Capital Markets (WCM) says the organization is prioritizing equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) and connecting with more marginalized groups. “We would really like to expand our reach to racialized professionals and the LGBTQ2S+ community to give them a sense of belonging in our organization,” said Lara Zink, who became president and CEO of WCM in February. WCM provides mentoring and coaching to women in the Canadian capital markets in addition to doing research and advocacy work. The organization has about 3,500 members across the country. Those members include professionals and high-school and university students, as well as more than 250 male allies, Zink said. ....

She has more than 25 years of experience in capital markets. Zink succeeded Camilla Sutton, who left WCM in December to manage equity research at BMO Capital Markets.
