Feb 18, 2021 A former Youngstown-area family was among those who died Monday afternoon in a helicopter crash at Botany Bay in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. The St. Thomas Reformed Church revealed on its Facebook page the identity of the family of three who died in the helicopter crash as Daniel and Neisha Yannone, and their son Tyler, who was a senior at Antilles School in St. Thomas. The Yannones, who are former Youngstown residents, who were members of that church, died in the crash along with pilot of the helicopter, Maria Rodriquez, according to The Virgin Islands Consortium. The church published a tribute stating: “Tyler belonged to our church, to our XYG youth group; he and his parents Daniel and Neisha belonged and served this church and community in countless, unselfish ways; friends to so many. On this eve of Ash Wednesday, where we remember our mortality, I ask you all to join our faith community in prayer for Daniel, Neisha, Tyler and Maria (bel ....
