Gov. Laura Kelly signed Monday a multibillion education funding package, hammered out by lawmakers after a topsy-turvy two months, where it was briefly unclear how officials would come up with a way to fund schools.
But the question now becomes how long that fragile peace will hold.
Supporters of expanding Kansas school choice offerings are already gearing up for another push to pass a proposal which critics have slammed as being tantamount to school vouchers and running the risk of creating legal chaos. ....
