CONNECTICUT The state has expanded its coronavirus vaccine rollout to include residents in Connecticut between the ages of 12 to 15 at all clinics in the state that are offering that vaccine.
The expansion of Connecticut s vaccine program follows on the heels of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices to recommending the vaccine for this age group Wednesday afternoon.
Parents and legal guardians of roughly 170,000 Connecticut residents between the ages of 12 to 15 can now sign their children up for an appointment or visit one of the many clinics that are accepting walk-up patients. ....

More than 7 in 10 adults over the age of 18 in Connecticut have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. And on Monday, the FDA approved the Pfizer vaccine for children age 12-15 under its Emergency Use Authorization. This will expand the pool of residents eligible to be vaccinated to an even younger cohort starting later this week.
But as more workers come back to in-person offices, can employers mandate the vaccine for workers? This hour, we talk to an employment law expert.

As vaccine appointments open to everyone 16 and over in Connecticut Thursday, state officials said more than 100 new pharmacies across the state will start administering the vaccine within the next several days.
With Connecticut officials estimating about half the 1.3 million people age 16 to 44 will rush out for the vaccine, the new pharmacy locations may ease efforts to find appointments as the state works to quickly vaccinate this new group. ....

Connecticut Remains on Track To Expand COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility To All Adults on Thursday, April 1

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that the State of Connecticut is on track to expand its COVID-19 vaccination program to the final group of adults, including all individuals between the ages of 16 and 44, on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Individuals in this age group will have access to schedule appointments beginning Thursday morning.
To schedule an appointment, Connecticut residents should visit ct.gov/covidvaccine and enter their zip code in the space provided. From there, they will be presented a list of the closest available clinics and instructions for how to make an appointment at each clinic. Those without access to the internet can call Connecticut’s Vaccine Appointment Assist Line at  ....
