A tenant pleaded with his estate agent not to evict him from his flat after he claims he lost part of his thumb in a workplace accident - which he also claims lost him his job.
Tenant Roman, who featured in an episode of Channel 5’s Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords , begged Darwen estate agent Paul Ainsworth Lord to let him stay in the property even though he had racked up rent arrears of £3,500.
The landlord, Mohammed Khan rents the property through Ainsworth Lord letting agency and went to visit Paul for help as he was tearing his hair out trying to contact with the tenant about the missed rent. ....

AN estate agent has become the target of vandalism after people accused it of exploitation.
Someone drew the words ‘Conman’ with black spray paint on the windows at Ainsworth-Lord Estates in Darwen on Sunday.
The vandalism came as owner Paul Ainsworth-Lord appeared on Channel 5 show Evicted! Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords with a 90-year-old man called Alan who was duped into becoming a guarantor for his son, who refused to pay rent, leaving the elderly man to pay the £3,500 in instalments over a year.
Following the episode’s airing last week, Mr Ainsworth-Lord set up a GoFundMe page to help the elderly man reclaim some of the money he had lost. ....

A letting agent has defended his decision to set up a Go Fund Me page for a 90-year-old man who fell into rental arrears, after it came under fire from residents, who accused him of pocketing the money for his company.
The Go Fund Me page was set up on behalf of Alan from Darwen, a pensioner who acted as a guarantor for his son, who rented a property from Ainsworth-Lord Estate Agents, based in the town.
Alan s story was broadcast on Channel 5 on Wednesday night in the new series of Eviction! Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords, in which viewers were told that after Alan agreed to be a guarantor for his son, his son then refused to pay rent on the property, meaning the 90-year-old was left with an arrears bill amounting to around £3,500. ....
