Extensive tree plantation stressed to reduce carbon emission

RAJSHAHI, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS) – Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) is pledged-bound to make the metropolis green through massive plantations with an ultimate goal of safeguarding the city environment and biodiversity.
All the authorities of public and private entities including educational institutions and installations should supplement the city corporation’s efforts of massive plantations.
RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton made this urge while planting a tree sapling near the Lalon Shah Open stage in the city on Thursday afternoon.
He said massive tree plantation can help reduce carbon emission at a substantial level and that is very important to protect ecological balance in the dried region. ....
