Infrastructure is about all of us, Biden said. We have a historic opportunity to make historic investments in our infrastructure. It will create millions of good-paying jobs. The American Jobs Plan will set us up to tackle climate change with American workers and American ingenuity, he continued.

ROSEDALE, MD Governor Larry Hogan on Friday announced that over $6.5 million in state funding has been awarded to 33 strategic industry partnerships through the Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN) Maryland program. EARN Maryland is the state’s nationally-recognized workforce initiative that helps businesses cultivate the skilled workforce they need to compete while preparing Marylanders for meaningful careers.
“As we continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critical to keep investing in a well-trained, highly-skilled workforce in order to rebuild our economy and ensure a sustainable future,” said Governor Hogan, “Our state continues to be nationally-recognized for our programs on workforce development and job training, and Labor’s EARN Maryland program will continue to lead the way and show the world that Maryland is open for business.” ....

Gov. Tom Wolf on Monday announced nearly $4.7 million in PAsmart Next Generation Industry Partnership grants to bolster workforce development across Pennsylvania and the region.
The grants bring together multiple employers in the same industry to provide targeted job training to students, workers and job seekers. Pennsylvania has administered $88 million through the program since 2018, expanding job training and supporting STEM and computer science education in hundreds of schools statewide.  ....

A Lehigh Valley partnership is one of 28 statewide industries receiving nearly $4.7 million in grant funding to bolster workforce development.
The Smart Energy Initiative of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a partnership including representatives in Northampton, Lehigh, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, is receiving a $220,000 slice of the total funding. The partnership was founded in 2007 to support the region’s smart energy industry by providing comprehensive workforce and business development services to partnering energy organizations. Its mission promotes the growth of the smart energy industry by providing comprehensive workforce and economic development services to partnering companies, the partnership’s website states. ....
