The Ministry of Agriculture takes measures to prevent crops in Ecuador from being contaminated with the Fusarium Raza 4 Tropical disease, which comes from Peru. To this end, the entity activated two new Barrier and Control Blocks (BBC) in Loja. The controls to avoid the intrusion of the plague in Ecuador are carried out on the roads, seaports and airports. These will serve for disinfection and inspection of products of plant origin. These barriers are located in the control of Saucillo and on the bridge over the river Puyango, in the province of Lojana. As indicated by the Ministry, these BBCs are added to the biosecurity rings and epidemiological fences to keep the disease in a state of exclusion from Ecuadorian plantations. ....
