In a sermon, the general secretary of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), The Rev Yunusa Mmadu, admonished the people to take a cue from the good legacies he left behind.
Speaking on the topic, “One minute after you die,” which he took from Luke chapter 16 verse 19 to 31, Mmadu noted that bereavement was a time to reflect on our lives and make amends.
In a goodwill message, Governor El-Rufai described the late Bantex as a dependable, honest and loyal friend, who always believed in the potential of the state and its people. He prayed to God to rest his soul. ....

Former Kaduna State Deputy Gov, Bala Bantex Dies At 64

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Mr Bala Bantex, is dead.
He died on Sunday at the age of 64 after battling with an undisclosed illness.
Until his death, the late Bantex served as Deputy to Governor Nasir El-Rufai between 2015 to 2019, before he resigned and contested for Kaduna South Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressive Congress in Kaduna South Senatorial District in the 2019 election.
He lost the election to the incumbent Senator, Danjumah Laah of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has expressed sadness over the death of his former Deputy, saying that he lost a dear friend and partner in the service of Kaduna State. ....

Buhari, ACF Mourn Former Kaduna Deputy Gov

President Muhammadu Buhari and the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) have mourned the immediate former Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Barnabas Bala (Bantex), who died yesterday in an Abuja hospital, following a protracted illness.
Buhari described Bala as a true gentleman, forthright politician, and a thorough professional.
The Kaduna State Government has declared today work-free in honour of the former deputy governor.
Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, joined the government and people of Kaduna State to mourn the passing of Bala.
Buhari described Bantex as a gentleman and consummate professional who would be remembered for his many years of distinguished service to his home state, his patriotism to the nation as well as forthrightness in politics. ....
