PORTSMOUTH - The Seacoast Village Project is hosting “Lunch & Learn: Paying for Care” featuring elder care consultant and nurse Nancy Euchner on Tuesday, July 6 at noon. The virtual program will be held via Zoom video conference and is free and open to the public, but requires advance registration.
Part of Seacoast Village Project’s monthly Lunch & Learn medical decision-making series, this presentation is focused on helping participants understand the “lay of the land” and become confident consumers of health care and health information. As a care manager, presenter Nancy Euchner has often worked with people who are navigating the healthcare system and faced with surprises about costs and insurance limitations. PORTSMOUTH - The Seacoast Village Project is hosting “Honoring MLK: The March Goes On” with author Dr. Charles Euchner on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held via Zoom video conference and requires advance registration.
In this special illustrated talk, Dr. Charles Euchner, author of Nobody Turn Me Around: A People’s History of the 1963 March on Washington, will examine what lessons the 1963 March on Washington offers us in 2021 and will explore vital questions for today’s period of conflict and division.
The presentation considers what are the elements of effective protest and dissent and what makes a movement fall apart? How can activists expand and revitalize the “vital center” rather than exacerbate the politics of extremism?
