Photo: Jamie Simpson By Kristy Dorsey Matthew Gregory is surrendering the helm at FirstGroup after the transport giant’s largest shareholder renewed calls for the chief executive’s resignation. In an announcement alongside the release of its financial results for the year to the end of March, FirstGroup said Mr Gregory will not seek re-election at the company’s annual meeting on September 13. Chairman David Martin will take over as interim executive chairman until a permanent chief executive is appointed.
