Virginia Wolfe may have written that every woman must have “a room of her own if she is to write fiction,” but that isn’t always a luxury afforded to every author regardless of their gender. Julia Kelly, author of The Last Garden in England, will host a talk with the Mattapoisett Library about her book via Zoom on Feb. 3, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Kelly, an International bestselling author, showcased her gift for sharing richly detailed stories and the power of friendships and womanhood in The Light Over London and The Whispers of War.
This January, Kelly returns with a tale of five women living across three different times whose lives are all connected by one very special garden.
In addition to writing, Kelly has been an Emmy–nominated producer, journalist, marketing professional, and (for one summer) a tea waitress. Kelly called Los Angeles, Iowa, and New York City home before settling in London.
