BURUNDI ( MissionNewswire) The Maltese National Federation of Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco and the Association des Anciens de Don Bosco au Burundi have collaborated to launch the new project “Giving Every Child a Chance – Helping Poor Burundi Children.” This project, which started in September 2020, is helping 38 poor children attend school. The children are orphaned and do not have any other means to attend school. They spend their time begging on the streets. The aim of the project is to support these children in their education, as well as help some of their mothers earn a living and learn healthy cooking and budgeting skills. ....
The Ministry of Tourism and Consumer Protection has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Federation of Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco, to help strengthen cooperation between government and the Salesian Oratory. The aim of this agreement is to attract a new tourist niche for Malta, being that of religious tourism. This agreement was signed by the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry for Tourism and Consumer Protection Ronald Mizzi, the Malta Tourism Authority CEO Johann Buttigieg, and Bryan Magro on behalf of Salesians, in the presence of the Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo. Through this agreement, the government will be awarding €200,000 to the Salesians to carry out infrastructural works in a building that will serve to unite young Catholics who choose Malta as the primary destination for their spiritual journey. ....

The storm brought sudden flooding and disruption to 11 provinces. Even though the water level has come down, there is still flooding and flood damage in the region with the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat affected the most. The Salesian Saengthong Vitthaya School mobilized support from the Association of Past Pupils, the Parent-Teacher Association, and teachers and students.
