There Are Only 13 Near-Perfect Action TV Shows According To Metacritic HBO

Fans of high-quality action television have to be riding high these days, as the streaming revolution of the past several years has ensured that a plethora of intense, action-heavy, exceptional series are always just one play button away.
From HBO to AMC, Netflix to FX, it seems like every network has been striving to offer action TV shows that are dramatically rich, intellectually complex, and have cinema-grade levels of action. But, where to start?

A cursory glance at the genre makes it clear that Randall Garrett did not invent Belters, those stalwarts of the asteroid belt. Examples abound in older SF, in the works of Smith, Heinlein, and Leinster. But Randall Garrett’s Belter stories seem to have been the strongest influence on Larry Niven, who lifted the Belter culture wholesale for his Known Space series. After this, Niven’s Belters seem to have had the greatest influence on later authors.
But enough literary history! Let’s just note that the Belt and the riches it might hold are irresistible for authors looking for rugged frontiers in which to set their tales. Consider these five comparatively recent works.

Exploring even the most seemingly impossible futuristic conflicts can often lead people to reflect on battles that are plaguing modern society. That’s certainly the case for the ensemble group of diverse characters, and the viewers who have pledged their allegiance to watching them the past four years, of the realistic sci-fi television series, ‘The Expanse.’
The mystery drama, which is set in a colonized solar system, began with the governments of Earth, Mars and the Asteroid Belt being locked in long-standing conflict. The crew of the illegally salvaged warship, the Rocinante, then stumbled on a vast conspiracy and a mysterious alien technology that’s threatens to upend the balance of power and the fate of humanity. The
