Middle-age cyclist Danette Buchan recalls a three-day journey on an e-bike along some of the rail trails in Central Otago (video was first published in November 2019).
Trust chairman Stephen Jeffery said he had written to Conservation Minister Kiri Allan seeking assistance and was awaiting a response.
Allan was unavailable to comment to
Stuff.
The “stuff up” was frustrating for the trust and trail users who had waited 10 years to complete the track between Alexandra and Lake Roxburgh Hydro Dam, Jeffery said.
“The opportunity was there and it’s just through incompetency we’ve lost it.”
