99-year-old among those awaiting Covid vaccine at home

Joe Kenneally, a 99-year-old retired farmer from Kilshanny in Co Clare, has had a lifelong love of songs and local history.
He shared his love with visitors until Covid-19 drastically limited his social interaction with the community.
His nieces and family assisted by carers provide Joe with the help to stay at home.
He is one of over 1,800 individuals who have been referred for a Covid-19 vaccine under the housebound programme, but his family are still waiting
The issue is to be raised by the Irish Rural Link Network with the Department of Health.
The Health Service Executive has said that the National Ambulance Service will increase capacity in the next few weeks in order to accelerate the delivery of Covid-19 vaccines to those that are housebound. ....

Joe is housebound and is still waiting for his first dose of a Covid vaccine.
