Action News Now reached out to Deal, he did not want to go on camera but put out a statement saying: As the Public Safety Director I was an “at will” contract employee. The City Council voted to terminate my contract without cause, which was an option contained within my contract. The Council chose to go a different direction with their Public Safety Director. I would like to thank the city and the council for the opportunity to lead the Department for almost 2 years and I’d also like to thank the community for their support in the role. ....
OROVILLE, Calif. – Larkin Road is closed between Mineral Way and Airport Parkway in Oroville due to a fatal head-on collision, according to Chief of Police, Joe Deal. Around 2 p.m. Monday, Oroville Police and Fire said they received numerous phone calls about a head-on collision between Mineral way and Airport Parkway. Three people, all in the same vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Chief Deal. Other people, also involved in the crash were taken to the hospital. Action News Now is working to learn how many were taken to the hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation. ....

The collection features prints by Berenice Abbott, Edward Steichen and Dorothea Lange, as well as works by Cuban photographers Pedro Abascal, Arien Chang, Alejandro González and Lissette Solórzano. The collection also includes works by Harry Callahan and Aaron Siskind, artists who were both patients of Bill Tsiaras, a Providence-based ophthalmologist and medical professor. David Vestal, Joe Deal and Lucas Samaras, as well as Tsiaras’ brothers, the artists Philip and Alexander, are represented in the collection. ....
