Mumbai, May 20 (IANS) Santoor player and musician Rahul Sharma, who has composed the music for the web series Ramyug , says his son loves the song Jai Hanuman that has been recorded for the show in Amitabh Bachchan s voice and also features Ustaad Zakir Hussain.

The Greek artist Yannis Tsarouchis is finally having some well deserved recognition thanks to a new opportunity in Lincoln Park. Housed at Wrightwood 659, there are around 200 works gathered together from private collections on four floors in a modern museum.
Various mediums are featured throughout the space including photography, statues, sketches and many paintings using watercolor, oil and the gouache method, a water and glue mixture of pigments. He designed a theatrical costume for singer Maria Callas and it was treat to see him backstage with her in one photo.
Patrons may stroll about taking in the artist s legacy at their leisure after being spaced out over time for safe conditions in the gallery at 659 W. Wrightwood Avenue. ....

170-year-old paintings of Hungarian painter on display

LAHORE: After restoration and preservation of 170-year old paintings of Hungarian painter August Schoffet have been put on display at Sikh Gallery, Lahore Fort.
This task was completed by Archeology Directorate and Tourism Department in collaboration with Hungarian Embassy and Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA). Paintings of Hungarian artist August Schoefft, who visited Lahore between 1841 and 1842, displayed in Princess Bamba Gallery at Lahore Fort.
According to historical accounts, Schoefft belonged to a family of artists. The street where he was born in 1809 is still known as ‘Képíró Utca’/Artists’. In November 1841, Schoefft arrived at the court of Maharaja Sher Singh, the openly anglophile successor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Schoefft completed a number of paintings for Sher Singh which he left behind in the royal Tosha Khana or treasury. Schoefft took away with him sketches of personalities he encountered in Lahore. ....

Paintings depict pain of people and the planet
