The report reads: “That the House do consider the Report of the Committee on Police Affairs on the issue from the Statutory Budget of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, the total sum of (N74,773,601,916.30) only.”
According to the approved budget, the sum of N988,279,006.05 is for Personnel Cost; N10,027,610,310.25 is for Overhead Expenditure while N63,757,712,600 is for Capital Expenditure.
The report indicated that the approved funds would be sourced from a Revenue Roll-over (2020) worth N23,631,857,141.30; 0.5% of the total revenue accrued worth N441,867,680,099 to the Federation Accounts.
Other sources include; 0.05%of total VAT worth N8,824,064,676; 0.05%of Net Profits of Companies in Nigeria worth N300,000,000 and Aids, Grants, Donations amounting to N150,000,000.

Senate has approved the sum of N216.646billion as expenditure for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) for the 2021 fiscal year. The approval was sequel to the consideration of a report by the Senate Committee on Finance. In his presentation, Chairman of the Committee, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, said that the Federal Inland Revenue Service proposed a total revenue collection of N7.61 trillion for 2021 as against N5.076 trillion budgeted in 2020, a figure which represents about 49.90 percent increase above the corresponding year’s budget. According to Adeola, out of the proposed total collection of N7.61trillion, N5.645 trillion is expected from Non-Oil components, while N1.964 trillion is expected from Oil components, adding that the cost of collection from 4 per cent net of 2 per cent NCS Value Added Tax (VAT) was projected at N216.65 billion to fund Personnel, Overhead and Capital costs in 2021, as against the sum of N180.76 billion budgeted for in 2020.

The House of Representatives Thursday, approved the External Borrowing Plan of the Federal Government to the sum of over $1.5billion and €995million.
Besides, it adopted a report of its Finance Committee, to issue from the Statutory Revenue Fund of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) the total sum of N 216, 646, 579, 231. 00 (Two Hundred and Sixteen Billion, Six Hundred and Forty–Six Million, Five Hundred and Seventy–Nine Thousand, Two Hundred and Thirty–One Naira).
