GLENVILLE – A Rochester man who admitted to helping in the aftermath of the October 2017 gun heist at a Glenville store was sentenced this past week to more than seven years in federal prison.
Juan Saez, 38, received a total of seven years, three months after he admitted to receiving, possessing and storing firearms taken from Target Sports, Inc., in Glenville on Oct. 22, 2017.
He pleaded guilty in May 2018 and was sentenced Friday.
Saez admitted that he traveled from Rochester to Amsterdam to meet with Christian Roman and Jose Fontanez, the two prime actors in the heist. Roman and Fontanez were then on the run from law enforcement and hiding out with another man, Omar DeJesus, after they stole more than 60 firearms from Target Sports, officials said.
