A 57-year-old man riding a motorcycle was seriously injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Pacific Beach.
The collision happened about 3:05 p.m. on Mission Boulevard near Opal Street, according to San Diego police Officer John Buttle.
He said the motorcycle rider was heading north on Mission Boulevard when a 43-year-old man driving a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas turned onto Mission from Opal Street. The motorcyclist drove into a turn lane to pass the Volkswagen on the left as the Volkswagen merged into the same lane to make a U-turn, Buttle said.
The motorcyclist laid his bike down and slid into the Volkswagen, Buttle said.

+ April 13, 2021 CLOGGED drainage systems caused the street flooding in Davao City during a heavy downpour Saturday evening, April 10, 2021, Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said.
In a radio interview on Monday, April 12, the mayor said the Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) reported during their department heads meeting the list of areas that were flooded on Saturday evening.
“Barado ang drainage. Ang monitoring report sa street flooding akong giingnan na ipasa sa City Engineer’s Office (CEO) aron maka-review sila og unsay hinungdan.
