Today, the Odisha School and Mass Education Department promoted the students without an examination for the 2020-21 academic sessions. The decision of direct promotion was taken in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent school closures. Odisha s decision comes close on the heels of the Puducherry Government s order to do the same. The Odisha state education department has taken this decision on March 10, 2021, to stop classroom teachings on Sundays. The Odisha state education department had instructed the schools to hold classes for 10th and 12th students to complete the syllabus. The Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash further added that the syllabus would be covered soon, and students are focusing on self-study for the upcoming board examinations. ....
