Oklahoma Lawmaker Announces $3 Million Bounty On Bigfoot (
REAL)
You could earn a cool $3 million, but things might get hairy. Oklahoma
State Representative Justin Humphrey took the floor of the Oklahoma Senate on Wednesday to announce an official bounty on
Bigfoot in the state. Humphrey says an unnamed man in the state has partnered with him to offer the $3 million bounty for anyone who can capture a live, unharmed Bigfoot. Okay, no one said it was going to be
easy money. He emphasized that this was not a hunt, as the goal is to capture a Bigfoot alive and unharmed, which is a change from earlier this year when Representative Humphrey tried to get House Bill 1648 passed in the state to establish an annual “Bigfoot season,” complete with annual dates and a licensing and fee system. Why the change? Humphrey said Wednesday that he tried to pass the bill in January to raise awa ....

BANNING COVID-19 VACCINE IN OKLAHOMA SCHOOLS: Lawmakers take step toward banning Oklahoma schools from requiring COVID-19 vaccine

Oklahoma lawmakers took a step toward banning schools from requiring a COVID-19 vaccine and putting restrictions on mask requirements. Senate Bill 658 started as an effort to, at the very least, make it harder for school districts to put in place mask requirements in their schools. Now, during this final week of Oklahoma s legislative session, lawmakers have updated the bill to include the vaccine rules. To force kids to be vaccinated or to wear masks against their parents wishes, I don t know, I don t think we should be doing that as a government, said state Sen. Rob Standridge, R-Norman.Standridge said he thinks the bill is necessary. Even though schools require other vaccines for attendance, he doesn t think they should require the COVID-19 vaccine.Health officials have found the vaccine safe and effective, with the Pfizer vaccine being authorized for everyone 12 and older.State Sen. J.J. Dossett, D-Owasso, said the decision should be up to each school district. Why, in ....

OKLAHOMA BUDGET: Democrats question transparency as Oklahoma Senate passes state budget bill

The Oklahoma Senate on Thursday passed the state budget for fiscal year 2022. The budget bill now heads to Gov. Kevin Stitt’s desk.Just hours before the 38-9 vote, House and Senate Democrats claimed the budget process has been anything but open and transparent as it sailed through both chambers this week.Last week top Republicans and Gov. Kevin Stitt announced that they d reached a budget deal, then the budget went through committees and through the House and Senate. But Democrats said not only were they not involved in the budget process, they weren t getting details until hours or minutes before votes.“You deserve to know where your tax dollars are going, who s benefiting, who s losing, you deserve better from your state government and from your elected officials, Emily Virgin, House Minority Leader (D-Norman), said. The top Senate Democrat, Kay Floyd, said lawmakers barely had time to read budget language before committee hearings, meaning, she said, the public certai ....
