Cumbrian housebuilder Genesis Homes has bought Russell Armer Homes, a Kendal-headquartered housing developer.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will strengthen Penrith-based Genesis’ strategy of expansion into South Lakeland and North Lancashire, the company said.
Nicky Gordon, managing director of Genesis, said: “Genesis is a business which continues to grow with its sights set on delivery regionally across Cumbria and Lancashire and this acquisition provides that platform for delivery.”
Law firm Baines Wilson advised on the deal. Andrew Hill, head of corporate and commercial at the firm, described the deal as a “testament” to Genesis’ “identity as a leading property developer in the region”.
